Touch The Clouds was a standout in any crowd. He was a 7 foot tall Miniconjou Chief of the late 19th century, and the cousin and lifelong friend of the famous Oglala Sioux warrior, Crazy Horse. His life spanned the period of the greatest triumphs of the Teton Sioux nations and the following period of sadness and divisiveness. He nonetheless left a history of kinship and faithfulness to his ideals and his friends that lingers in tribal memories today.
